This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Duck Hole, you could also stop by close by Tinker Pond, and Duck Hole is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Surry Mountain Camp Ground is a pleasant site to camp nearby. Grassy Brook flows through this vicinity; on a nice day you can take a hike along the Farmers Trail. There is a great hiking trail close to       Duck Hole called the Marlboro Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express KEENE. From a precipitation point of view Duck Hole is a reasonably typical place; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. E.F. Lane Hotel is a great place to get some rest, and Gould Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore. Crotched Mountain is a nice local ski area. This lake is so wonderful.                  If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Sunapee is in the vicinity of Duck Hole, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ashuelot River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Duck Hole. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Duck Hole. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun.
