If you need a location to stay Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a good choice, and close by you stumble on the Monadnock Sunapee Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Dodge Pond, you could also check out wonderful Cold Brook Pond; hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Sunapee is a pleasant site to do that. without some skiing at Whaleback. This spot rules, just explore all the exciting things to do next to Dodge Pond. So many enjoyable things to do at Dodge Pond, so little time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's
for you then we recommend Ashuelot River, and why not take a little visit to Beaver Brook while you're here. The annual rain here at Dodge Pond is about average; August is when you get the most rain here while January is regularly
the driest month. Do go to Richardson Brook Pond near Dodge Pond, it's a wonderful lake, and a fine nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Claremont.

Fries has an impressive resume with 35 years in the ski resort business including five years as owner and president of Bolton Valley, president of Stratton Mountain in Vermont, and president of Breckenridge in Colorado. With Fries as the new president, Ragged Mountain applied to Audubon International to become a Certified Silver Signature Sanctuary. Audubon International only accepts applications for this level of certification when it can be involved before the construction of infrastructure has begun in order to provide critical input in the design phase, and guidance as the design takes the form of construction. Ragged Mountain has been accepted into the Signature Sanctuary program. By the end of last season the resort was receiving numerous unsolicited positive testimonials about the new Ragged Mountain.
