After a long day outdoors The Margate Resort is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and needless to say, this is a magnificent neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Sunset Lake is a lake close at hand. Ayers Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and at Crystal Lake you can see Cogswell Mountain. And that's not all you can do here at Crystal Lake. A great site to camp here at Crystal Lake is Bay Hill Campground

| | and Cabins, and Crystal Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Sun River Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Campground Trail is always a good adventure, and you can hit the slopes at Abenaki in the neighborhood. The warmest time of the year at Crystal Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally | |

in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Crystal Lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Crystal Lake has to offer. Near Crystal Lake you stumble on the Catamount Trail which is a glorious
hiking trail, and the good people of Laconia like to hang out nearby. The Onemile Trail is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Crystal Lake, and Crystal Lake-Gilmanton Dam is a beautiful place, certainly worth stopping
at. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Suncook River, and Wolfeboro Inn is a brilliant site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. One of the best things about Crystal Lake is its proximity
to Alton Town Beach, and Gunstock has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. Crystal Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Playing
golf is lots of fun at Nippo Lake Golf Club, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Upper Suncook Lake.
