A great place for whitewater paddling next to Crescent Lake is Cold River, and Hilliard Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Futures Trail is always a glorious adventure, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Mount Sunapee. High temperatures at Crescent Lake during the long summer days are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's

A common amount of rain falls here at Crescent Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. There are fine sites to look at along the Slot Trail, and Crescent Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Northstar Campground is a nice local campground.
