Do stop by Craney Pond while you're in this part of New Hampshire. The trees of Vincent State Forest are a good source of shade on hot summer days, and whitewater paddling is good on Contoocook River. Any time is a great time at Craney Pond if you fancy the outdoors. Why not camp at Mile/Away Campground since you're here at Craney Pond, and a great close by hotel is The Centennial. High temperatures at Craney Pond throughout the months of summer are in the 70's.

Craney Pond is not the only spot nearby, French Pond is a nearby lake, and if you need a location to stay The Henniker Motel is a splendid choice. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Pats Peak is in the neighborhood of Craney Pond, and there are plenty of people from Concord here. | |

A lake close by is Keyser Pond; Crotched Mountain is a great local ski area.
This lake is so wonderful. Collins Ledge is beautiful and can be spotted from Craney Pond, and do take a hike on the Old Country Road. There's some flowing
water nearby, Amey Brook is a stream you can have a look at during your stay; you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Wapack Trail. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Craney Pond. Hiking along the Wilmot
Trail is splendid fun.
The high level of precipitation makes Craney Pond a relatively wet spot; November is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
If you're here at Craney Pond and you like golf, you can go to Oak Brook Golf Course, and if you came for an overnight stay Keyser Pond Campground is a wonderful place to camp.
