Camping at Surry Mountain Camp Ground is always a wonderful experience; folks from Keene love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at E.F. Lane Hotel, and drift down the rapids of Ashuelot River in a kayak. If you came to camp Hilltop Camp is a delightful spot to do that,       and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express KEENE is a wonderful choice. Don't forget to take a splendid little trip to Hale Brook; good hiking is available along the Farmers Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Cranberry Pond is one of those close by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Crane Pond; White Arrow Trail is a splendid local trail. Throughout the long summer days at Crane Pond temperatures are generally                  in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Crane Pond. Crane Pond is a good location of typical rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. Man, is there loads of fun stuff to do next to Crane Pond.
