Palmer Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and you can spend the day on the beach at Wadleigh State Beach. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cornelius Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lake Massasecum Park and Campground, and going for a hike on the Monadnock Sunapee Trail is always a great adventure.
