You get a good panorama of Stacy Mountain from Cooks Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Merrill Farm Resort, and do take a hike on the Weetamoo Trail. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Do explore Silver Lake Dam while you're here at Cooks Pond; if you get bored of Cooks Pond you could also stop at nearby Durgin Pond. All the water falling down from the sky       makes Cooks Pond a wet location; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is September. Gotta ski! King Pine is a delightful place to do that, and a quick visit to Forrest Brook is beyond doubt a good idea. If you came to camp Danforth Bay Camping Resort is a good place to do that, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swift River. Camping at Chocorua Camping Village KOA is                  always a glorious experience, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites NORTH CONWAY is a fine place to get some rest. During the long summer days highs here at Cooks Pond reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Cooks Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is located in the wonderful White Mountains. So many amusing things to do here in the White Mountains, too tremendous to be true. A lake close by is Silver Lake, and Lovell River is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Cranmore Mountain, and why not take a refreshing hike along the White Ledge Trail. All year is a great time in the White Mountains if you like the outdoors.
