The vista of Emerson Hill from Contoocook River Reservoir is striking, and you can go for a hike on the Old Country Road. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Contoocook River Reservoir. Camping at Cold Brook Campground is always a nice experience; paddling on Contoocook River is so much fun. Whitewater paddling is great on Blackwater River; if you came to camp Sandy Beach Family       Campground is a wonderful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay The Henniker Motel is a fine choice; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Pats Peak. You're probably interested in lakes, Pleasant Pond is one of those nearby, and there are splendid spots to look at along the Wilmot Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Contoocook River Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the                  50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Contoocook River Reservoir overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some smiling folks from Concord here, and a golf course nearby is Duston Country Club Golf Course. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Contoocook River Reservoir. Hit the slopes at Ragged Mountain in the vicinity. The high level of precipitation makes Contoocook River Reservoir a rather wet place; during November this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Contoocook Village Dam. Lakes are good; Carr Pond is a lake that's near Contoocook River Reservoir.
