If you came to camp Cold Brook Campground is a great location to do that, and do take a hike on the Wilmot Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little visit to Contoocook Village Dam if you're here at Contoocook River       Reservoir, and you obtain a good vista of Emerson Hill from here. There's so much to do here at Contoocook River Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Sandy Beach Family Campground is a good place for that, and hiking along the Old Country Road is brilliant fun. If you need a spot to stay The Henniker Motel is a great choice, and the snow is great at Pats Peak. Browns Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; you'll almost                  certainly meet some people from Concord here. Through the long summer days highs here at Contoocook River Reservoir get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
