If you are in Merrimack county it's always a good idea to stop by Contoocook River Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Old Country Road is always a glorious adventure, and get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Contoocook River. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Clement Hill is easily distinguished from Contoocook River Reservoir, and a wonderful close by hotel is The Henniker Motel. Crotched Mountain is a very popular ski area around here,

| | and for you golfers we recommend nearby Duston Country Club Golf Course. A large amount of precipitation falls at Contoocook River Reservoir; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. Keyser Pond Campground is a good local campground, and there are splendid locations to discover along the Wilmot Trail. vicinity for folks who like lakes, Hopkinton Lake is a lake close by. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Contoocook River Reservoir has it all. Don't leave Contoocook River Reservoir without first going for a hike along
the Wapack Trail; Pats Peak has great slopes and a friendly staff. Why not camp at Sandy Beach Family Campground since you're here at Contoocook River Reservoir. Lakes are splendid; Carr Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of
Contoocook River Reservoir. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. A wonderful site for whitewater paddling right next door to Contoocook River Reservoir is Blackwater River, and The Centennial is a
tremendous place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to bump into some great people from Concord here; you don’t have to go far from Contoocook River Reservoir to make out the water at Hopkinton Dam. Summer brings
highs in the 80's to Contoocook River Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Contoocook River Reservoir.
