This place, Contention Pond, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Near Contention Pond you discover a golf course called Angus Lea Golf Course; Contention Pond is not the only site nearby, Loon Pond is a nearby lake. Skiing at Crotched Mountain is one of those things you just have       to do, and Contention Pond is a place with many visitors from Concord. A lake close by is Carter Pond, and a good spot to camp here at Contention Pond is Oxbow Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Black Pond Brook, and if you come at the right time of year, Warner River offers some magnificent whitewater. An average amount of rain falls at Contention Pond; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here while                  January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Franklin Pierce Dam next to Contention Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and a great nearby hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. All through the summertime months at Contention Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Contention Pond all through the winter frequently fall into the 10's. Go for a hike on the Wilmot Trail; if the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a perfect view of Murdough Hill from Contention Pond. Yeah, come here to Contention Pond for a perfect time. Soar down the rapids of Contoocook River - North Branch in a kayak, and good hiking is available along the Wapack Trail.
