Connecticut Lakes is great! You'll meet a lot of people from Berlin here, and wonderful scenery and delightful skiing is what you acquire at Balsams Wilderness. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the White Mountains. There are other places here than Connecticut Lakes, for example Mud Pond; a wonderful location for       whitewater paddling is Magalloway River. Visit Alder Brook if you're here at Connecticut Lakes, and South Bay is close at hand and always pleasant to check out. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the White Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Ramblewood Cabins and Campground is always a great experience, and Round Pond is a great lake close by. Summertime at Connecticut Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime                  lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Connecticut Lakes. Connecticut Lakes is a rather wet place usually with a great deal of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is mostly the driest month.
