If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Hampshire you can check out Cold Pond. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the White Mountains. Take a hike on the Wilmot Trail; not far from Cold Pond you get some tremendous water scenery at Johnson Mill Dam. During the summertime months highs here at Cold Pond get into the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's

State Beach is always perfect. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Bear Mountain Rustic Campground LLC while you're here at Cold Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Smith River offers some great whitewater. Here
at Cold Pond there are plenty of people from Concord, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Sunapee since you're here. Huntoon Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and camping is available
at Camp Kenwood & Evergreen. This lake is so wonderful. The Bulkhead is easy to spot from Cold Pond; Cascade Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at. Cold Pond is one of the lakes here in the White
Mountains. From a precipitation point of view Cold Pond is a rather normal place; the month with most of the rain is November while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
