You can spot Cochran Hill from Colby Pond, and a lake nearby is Mayberry Pond. This place, Colby Pond, it just has so much outdoors cool stuff. Colby Pond is a wet place that gets much rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is September. This lake is so wonderful.       If you like skiing, you're in luck; Pats Peak is close to Colby Pond, and float down the rapids of Souhegan River in a kayak. Hiking along the Mitchell Hill Road is delightful fun; there's some flowing water close by, Black Brook is a stream you can stop by while here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Hill - Brook Motel is a fine choice, and Crotched Mountain is a pleasant local ski area. Dry warm beds await you at The Henniker Motel;                  get drenched paddling on Piscataquog River - South Branch. Yeah, come here to Colby Pond for a delightful time. Colby Pond is not the only site close by, Sandhill Pond is a close by lake, and camping is available at Wildwood Campground. For the duration of the days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Colby Pond while night lows are regularly in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Colby Pond.
