The beauty of Clay Pond is reason enough to stop by. Dubes Pond Dam is wonderful and it's right next door to Clay Pond. The high level of rain makes Clay Pond a reasonably wet place; the month with most of the rain is November while January is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail is a good hiking trail near Clay Pond, and Twin Oaks Campground is a pleasant campground here.

| | the Catamount Trail which is a delightful hiking trail; get dripping wet paddling on Little Suncook. Candia Woods Golf Links is a brilliant golf course nearby, and some of the water nearby flows, like Moose Meadow Brook. This lake is so wonderful. McIntyre has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff; if you've had enough of Clay Pond, Dubes Pond is close by.

and a nice close by hotel is Hooksett Kozy 7 Motel. You'll meet a lot of folks from Manchester-Nashua here; going for a hike on the Onemile Trail is always a good adventure. Fairfield Inn & Suites Hooksett is a fine place to get some
rest; whitewater paddling is good on Merrimack River.
For the duration of the summer months here at Clay Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Clay Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
