Get yourself into a kayak and hit Contoocook River - North Branch; in the neighborhood of Cheshire Pond you find a golf course called Shattuck Golf Course. At Cheshire Pond through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Cheshire Pond during the winter frequently plunge into the 0's. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Contoocook Lake is a splendid lake next to Cheshire Pond, and do take a hike on the Harling Trail. Hit the slopes at Wachusett Mountain nearby, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Cascade Link Trail.
