You're probably hooked on lakes, Messer Pond is one of those close by; Rand Pond Campground is a brilliant local campground. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to Chalk Pond. The Henniker Motel is a tremendous location to get some rest. Lakes are great; Clark Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Chalk Pond. This lake is so wonderful.       Here at Chalk Pond you'll most likely meet some folks from Concord, and glide down the rapids of Croyden Brook in a kayak. A normal amount of rain falls here at Chalk Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Paddling on Warner River is so much fun; a round of golf at nearby The Country Club of New Hampshire is a splendid way to kill some time. At Chalk Pond                  during the summertime highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Chalk Pond. Take a hike on the Wilmot Trail; State Park Beach is a beach nearby that you can stop at. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Ragged Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Hiking along the West Ridge Trail is wonderful fun, and you obtain a great sight of Baker Hill from here.
