It's always fun to stop by Catamount Pond. There are other locations here than Catamount Pond, for example Bear Brook Park Pond, and Catamount Hill can be made out from Catamount Pond. stay Twin Oaks Campground is a good place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Circle 9 Ranch Campground is a glorious local campground; if you're a golfer then a tremendous close by course is Plausawa Valley Country Club. On a
nice day at Catamount Pond you can take a hike along the Onemile Trail; dry warm beds await you at Red Roof Inn Loudon. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Suncook River Reservoir near Catamount
Pond, and going for a hike on the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail is always a splendid adventure. If you need a location to stay Fairfield Inn & Suites Hooksett is a tremendous choice, and delightful skiing awaits you at McIntyre.
Gunstock has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Suncook River. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area near Catamount Pond has to offer. Some of
the water close by flows, like Ames Brook, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Catamount Trail.

Each year they have made improvements to the host of ammenities present. Besides, there are some great 5 pounders there to be caught.... |

 | 12 miles away Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ... |
