Very picturesque scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Crotched Mountain, and going for a hike along the Wapack Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Caswell Pond in fact is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. A good site to camp here at Caswell Pond is Echo Valley. What a place this is for outdoors people. At Caswell Pond you always meet someone from Manchester-Nashua, and if the       weather is delightful, you acquire a pleasant panorama of Fisk Hill from Caswell Pond. Caswell Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; through November this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is September. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Pine Campgrounds; while you're here you can take a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road. Not far from Caswell Pond, you'll come across Greenville Reservoir which is a pretty lake; a cool                  spot to stop by is Kendall Ledge. A fine close by hotel is Courtyard Fitchburg; if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Old Country Road. Get covered with water paddling on Stony Brook. Lakes? Sure, Greenville Reservoir is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Wachusett Village Inn is a splendid spot to get some rest, and soar down the rapids of Souhegan River in a kayak. For the period of the summer at Caswell Pond highs are mostly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Caswell Pond temperatures sink to the 10's.
