Shir-roy Camping Area is a nice local campground, and Sandy Pond is a brilliant lake close by. Don't leave Cass Pond without first going for a hike along the Farmers Trail, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Keene. Pine Ridge is a very popular ski area close at hand. | | Ashuelot River - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express KEENE is a good choice, and a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Millers River. Summertime highs at Cass Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, usually in the 50's. Arrow Trail; from Cass Pond you get a splendid view of White Hill. A delightful lake like Larrys Pond near Cass Pond is a great site to visit, and a short tour to Royalston Falls is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful.
Going for a hike on the Marlboro Trail is always a great adventure, and Cass Pond is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Swanzey Lake Camping Area is a glorious location to camp nearby. The yearly rain here at Cass
Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February.
