Dry warm beds await you at Henniker Motel; camping at Carr Pond is delightful fun, Keyser Pond Campground is a delightful local campground. People from Concord love to come to Carr Pond; Hoague-Sprague Dam is a spot that is near Carr Pond. Carr Pond in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. This lake is so wonderful. A forest near Carr Pond is Ames State Forest, and what would winter be without some skiing at Crotched       Mountain. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Carr Pond; Old Country Road is a great local trail, and Clement Hill is a peak you can see from Carr Pond. Summertime highs at Carr Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Carr Pond sink into the 0's. What a place this is for outdoors                  people. There's brilliant hiking along the Wilmot Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Mile/Away Campground is a tremendous site to camp. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Duston Country Club Golf Course, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Clement Pond is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Pats Peak is a great site to do that; the Wapack Trail offers hiking at its best. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Contoocook River, and Tall Pines Cottages is a glorious place to get some rest.
