Campton Bog Pond

A nice, scenic pond and bog for kayaking. Plan on at least an hour through the pond and the bog area. Quiet and peaceful. Says EJL

On Branch Brook you come across the nearby Ellsworth to Branch Brook campground sector. This is a type II-V, 3.3-mile-long section of whitewater. This sector of Branch Brook is suitable for kayak paddlers who have been whitewater rafting or kayaking for a bit. The Gorge portion is a good 1-mile-from-start-to-finish class
III segment of whitewater on Mad River. The Gorge portion of Mad River is suited for paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking or rafting for a period of time but who are not yet prepared for the exceptionally perilous rapids.
