why not explore Grafton Pond near Butternut Pond, and a great close by hotel is The Trumbull House Bed And Breakfast. Butternut Pond is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Crescent Campsites is a nice place to camp nearby;
Croyden Brook is a perfect whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a wonderful choice, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Lebanon here. In case
you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mascoma River; don't leave Butternut Pond without first going for a hike along the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail. Summertime at Butternut Pond arrives with high
temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows through the winter for Butternut Pond tend to be in the 0's. There are great places to look at along the Clark Pond Loop, and a delightful lake like Kolelemook Lake is a great spot to stop at.
