This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a glorious place to get some rest, and there's delightful hiking along the Clark Trail. A typical amount of rain falls here at Butterfield Pond; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest of the months is February. What a place this is for outdoors       people. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ragged Mountain if you're here; paddling on Warner River is so much fun. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Butterfield Pond get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Butterfield Pond are in the 0's. There's so much to do here at Butterfield                  Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Crescent Campsites is a wonderful place for that; the summit of Stearns Hill can be seen from Butterfield Pond.
