     Whaleback is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and do check out Palazzi Pond, it's a beautiful lake. A common amount of rain falls here at Bog Brook Reservoir; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the months of summer at Bog Brook Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime  
   are normally in the 20's while Bog Brook Reservoir overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. If you came for an overnight stay Crows Nest Campground is a nice site to camp; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Drift down the rapids of Sugar River in a kayak, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. This lake
 
               is so wonderful. Why not camp at Loon Lake Campground while you're here at Bog Brook Reservoir; Barton Hill is lovely and can be observed from here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Bog Brook Reservoir, you could also go to striking Cranberry Pond, and get wet paddling on Croyden Brook.
A good close by hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge, and why not head up to Mount Sunapee and strap some skis to your feet. Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do close to Bog Brook Reservoir. The West Ridge Trail is a wonderful hiking trail near Bog Brook Reservoir, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Lebanon for sure.
If you're here at Bog Brook Reservoir, you could take a look at Bog Brook, and Bog Brook Dam is not far at all from Bog Brook Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Lebanon/Hanover is a great location to spend a night or two, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Dewey Beach.

I went to this mountain with my school and it was a really fun expiernce and I am planning to go back with my school some time soon.......luding one of the only all natural terrain parks in the East.
The resort development group has a history of building resorts around the Western U.S. and Canada. Along with the substantial funds to help with improvements, the new owners hired ski industry veteran Bob Fries as president and general manager to implement the necessary changes. Fries has an impressive resume with 35 years in the ski resort business including five years as owner and president of Bolton Valley, president of Stratton Mountain in Vermont, and president of Breckenridge in Colorado.
With Fries as the new president, Ragged Mountain applied to Audubon International to become a Certified Silver Signature Sanctuary. Audubon International only accepts applications for this level of certification when it can be involved before the construction of infrastructure has begun in order to provide critical input in the design phase, and guidance as the design takes the form of construction. Ragged Mountain has been accepted into the Signature Sanctuary program.
