You'll need more than a day to explore everything Black Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Emerald Acres; not far from Black Reservoir you'll locate Bullet Pond which is a picturesque lake. High temperatures at Black Reservoir during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in       the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Black Reservoir temperatures dip to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Contoocook River offers some fine whitewater, and Colonial Hotel is a good place to get some rest. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in close proximity to Black Reservoir. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Harling Trail, and a good close by hotel is Gardner Super 8 Motel.                  This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Stony Brook, and Black Reservoir Lower Dam is a pretty place. Black Reservoir is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Woodmore Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and do take a hike on the Wapack Trail. The Parker Trail offers hiking at its best, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Black Reservoir. If you're here at Black Reservoir and you like golf, you can check out Monadnock Country Club, and striking scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Crotched Mountain. The yearly rain here at Black Reservoir is about average; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month.
