Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are really plentiful here at Black Pond. Head up to Crotched Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Contoocook River. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Parker Trail, and you can stay the night at Oxbow Campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a vista of Holmes Hill from Black Pond, and Black Pond       Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. There are other places here than Black Pond, for example Franklin Pierce Lake; after a long day outdoors The Henniker Motel is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. Black Pond gets a normal amount of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. All through the warm months, highs typically are in the 70's at Black Pond. Summer nighttime lows descend                  down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Black Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Cliffton's Country Camping is a nice campground nearby, and there's whitewater on Contoocook River - North Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers. A tremendous nearby hotel is Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge. Good hiking is available along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail, and why not take a little tour to Red Brook while you're here.
