And that's not all you can do here at Black Pond. Summertime at Black Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Black Pond throughout the winter commonly dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.       Here at Black Pond you can catch a glimpse of Holmes Hill, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Black Pond Dam. The yearly rain here at Black Pond is about average; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is January. Whitewater paddling is great on Contoocook River - North Branch, and hiking along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail is perfect fun. Black Pond is wonderful enough to spend                  more than a day at, Cliffton's Country Camping is a wonderful local campground, and The Henniker Motel is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Gotta ski! Crotched Mountain is a great site to do that, and why not take a little visit to Red Brook if you're here. Black Pond is not the only place close by, Bagley Pond is a close by lake, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Parker Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area in close proximity to Black Pond has to offer. A lake nearby is White Pond, and going for a hike along the Pumpelly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful.
