This lake is so wonderful. Black Pond is not the only place nearby, Little East Pond is a nearby lake. There's so much to do here at Black Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Hancock Campground is a great spot for that. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Waterville Valley is near Black Pond; get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Pemigewasset River - Hancock Br.. After a long day outdoors InnSeason       Resorts Pollard Brook is a good site to spend a night or two, and a splendid close by hotel is Village Of Loon Mountain (Vri). I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Black Pond. A good panorama of pretty Owls Head is available from Black Pond, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Wilderness Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Birch Island Brook is a pretty stream that is worth a visit; if the weather is wonderful, you                  can go for a hike along the Franconia Brook Trail. Black Pond gets a common amount of annual rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Having a wonderful time in the White Mountains is painless. Franconia Falls is always fun to check out; a day on the slopes of Loon Mountain is just what you need. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Black Pond. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Black Pond, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's while Black Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the White Mountains has to offer. A lake close by is Ice Pond, and a magnificent location for whitewater paddling is Pemigewasset River - East Branch. Black Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Campers World Campground is a magnificent local campground, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Lincoln Brook Trail.
