A tremendous close by hotel is Best Western Sovereign Hotel; you don’t have to go far from Big Pond to make out the water at Village Pond Dam. Big Pond is a location with many visitors from Keene, and Big Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Hilltop Camp is a wonderful local campground. The annual       precipitation here at Big Pond is about average; all through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. There is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Big Pond called the Farmers Trail, and if you need a location to stay E.F. Lane Hotel is a brilliant choice. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not visit Village Pond near Big Pond, and there's whitewater on Otter Brook for all you adrenaline kick people. Now,                  you may think that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Big Pond. You'll locate a pretty lake called Symonds Pond near Big Pond, and a good location to camp here at Big Pond is Idle Times Campground. The warmest time of the year at Big Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows at Big Pond through the winter mostly plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you yearn for a little side spree, try Wildcat Hollow, and hey, Gotta ski right? Mount Sunapee is a glorious site to do that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. You get a tremendous panorama of Bald Hill from Big Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Ashuelot River. This lake is so wonderful.
