Why not camp at Crown Point Campground while you're here at Big Acorn Pond; Big Acorn Pond is right by the Campground Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Suncook River; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Catamount Trail. At Big Acorn Pond all through the warmest time of the year       highs are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Big Acorn Pond.
