If you are traveling by, why not stop by Beaver Ponds. Gotta ski! Pats Peak is a great place to do that; you can stay the night at Field and Stream Travel Trailer Park. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Soughegan Woods Golf Club, and you can go for a hike on the Old Country Road. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn By Marriott Merrimack is a great spot to spend a night or two; why not go to High Point

a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Mitchell Hill Road. There's so much to do here at Beaver Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Field & Stream Travel Trailer is a good place for
that. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll fancy Beaver Ponds. If you come at the right time of year, Piscataquog River offers some brilliant whitewater, and Hill - Brook Motel is a delightful location to get some rest. If you're visiting
Beaver Ponds from Manchester-Nashua, you won't be the only one, and let's not forget Joe English Brook which is a stream that you may bump into while here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Beaver Ponds,
and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Beaver Ponds. So many fun things to do here at Beaver Ponds, too good to be true. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaver Ponds; Onemile Trail is a nice local trail.

Locust Pond
 | 12 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
