In New Hampshire there are many beautiful lakes, Bear Brook Pond is one of them. Bear Brook Pond gets a large amount of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Diamond River, and Mollidgewock Campground is a great local campground. Don't leave Bear Brook Pond without first going for a hike along the Speck Pond Trail, and Little Bear Brook Pond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. by Errol Dam, and Balsams Wilderness has good slopes and a friendly staff. A wonderful nearby hotel is A Top Notch Inn, and do check out Long Pond, it's a picturesque lake. There are some nice whitewater spots on Androscoggin
River; Log Haven Campground is a great campground nearby. The warmest time of the year at Bear Brook Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Bear Brook Pond.

 | 15 miles away I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful.
