At Barney Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Barney Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly interested in lakes, Halfmoon Pond is one of those       nearby, and close by you locate the Farmers Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Lovewell Mountain is a peak you can see from Barney Pond, and a pleasant site to stop at is North Outlet. After a long day outdoors E.F. Lane Hotel is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two; if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Sunapee Lake Lodge is a fine place to get some rest;                  you can take a little visit to Island Pond Dam since you're here at Barney Pond. Head up to Crotched Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and why not camp at Idle Times Campground while you're here at Barney Pond. So much fun stuff near Barney Pond, simply incredible. It's a great idea to pop by Bog Brook, it's in the vicinity of Barney Pond, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Contoocook River - North Branch. Barney Pond gets a normal amount of precipitation; throughout November this area sees the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Barney Pond. Nearby lakes? Sure, Freezeland Pond is in close proximity to Barney Pond; the Pumpelly Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby.
