High temperatures at Barden Pond through the long summer days are in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's while Barden Pond night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. A fine location to camp here at Barden Pond is       Rand Pond Campground; Mount Sunapee has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Pumpelly Trail; camping at Idle Times Campground is always a nice experience. You could also have a look at Hidded Pond while you're here at Barden Pond; it's nearby, and if you're popping by from Keene, you won't be the only one. All the outdoors exciting things near Barden Pond will keep you coming back many                  times. Going for a hike along the Farmers Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Ashuelot River. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Barden Pond; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture. Having a great time at Barden Pond is easy. If you need a place to stay E.F. Lane Hotel is a good choice. At Barden Pond you can make out Copeland Hill, and there's whitewater on Contoocook River - North Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful.
