Cannon Mountain is a great local ski area, and after a long day outdoors Coos Motor Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Dry warm beds await you at Lancaster Motor Inn, and Baker Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Mountain-Lake Campground is a glorious local campground. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area next to Baker Pond has to offer. Hiking along the Moose       Trail is pleasant fun. You could also have a look at Kent Pond since you're here at Baker Pond; it's nearby, and the summit of Bunker Hill can be seen from Baker Pond. High temperatures at Baker Pond during the summertime months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows at Baker Pond all through the wintertime commonly drop into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.                  Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Shore Trail, and playing golf is lots of fun at Waumbek Golf Club. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Bretton Woods is near Baker Pond; going for a hike along the Loon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. If you're here at Baker Pond, you could visit Israel River, and a glorious site to camp here at Baker Pond is Roger's Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Baker Pond from Berlin, you won't be the only one, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Israel River.
