Badger Pond is a wet site that gets much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is January. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Crotched Mountain. Badger Pond is not the only location close by, Sandhill Pond is a close by lake, and Pats Peak has nice slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Badger Pond is delightful enough to spend       more than a day at, Echo Valley is a delightful local campground, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Stony Brook. Camping at Wildwood Campground is always a delightful experience, and Badger Pond is not far at all from Manchester-Nashua. This lake is so wonderful. The Henniker Motel is a great site to get some rest, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Wapack Trail. The panorama of The Pinnacle from Badger Pond is scenic, and on a fine day you can                  take a hike along the Old Country Road. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Souhegan River, and after a long day outdoors Hill - Brook Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Badger Pond. If you get bored of Badger Pond, you could also stop at nearby Swartz Pond, and going for a hike along the Mitchell Hill Road will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. At Badger Pond during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
