If you need a place to stay Red Carpet Inn and Suites Plymouth is a glorious choice, and Pemigewasset River is a great whitewater spot nearby. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Ayer Island Station Pond. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Ayer Island Station Pond tend to be in the       0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Red Carpet Motel, obviously you could also have a look at Newfound River Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. Nearby lakes? Sure, Newfound Lake is near Ayer Island Station Pond, and going for a hike on the Holt Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. Be careful coming to the White Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. The sight of beautiful Roundtop near Ayer Island Station Pond is brilliant, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Melton Falls Trail. That right there is a load of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. What would winter be without some skiing at Tenney Mountain; do stop at Ayers Island Dam while you're here. From a rainfall point of view Ayer Island Station Pond is a pretty common spot; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
