If you are in Carroll county it's always a good idea to stop by Atwood Pond. That right there is plenty of cool stuff already but it goes on, the White Mountains has it all. A quick tour to Smarts Brook close to Atwood Pond is a perfect idea, and you can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Waterville Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Waterville Valley Golf Course not far from Atwood Pond, and delightful skiing awaits you at Loon Mountain.

| | You completely have to adore Atwood Pond. If you need a place to stay Best Western Silver Fox Inn is a magnificent choice; there are plenty of people from Laconia here at Atwood Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a delightful hiking trail near Atwood Pond called the Smarts Brook Trail, and the top of Bald Knob is easily seen from Atwood Pond. Atwood Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. Near Atwood Pond you stumble on the Algonquin Trail | |

which is a delightful hiking trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Mad River.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the White Mountains. Atwood Pond is good enough to spend more than
a day at, Branch Brook Fourseason Campground is a good local campground, and Days Inn Campton is a brilliant site to get some rest. A typical amount of rain falls here at Atwood Pond; August is when you get the most rain here, and
the driest month of the year is February. Going for a hike on the Welch Mountain Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
A delightful site to camp here at Atwood Pond is Goose Hollow Camp and RV Park; soar down the rapids of Smarts
Brook in a kayak. High temperatures at Atwood Pond during the summer months are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Atwood Pond night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's.
