Cedar Pond
I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are....

Shelburne Trail
Beautiful trail, mostly easy grades. Lots of running water and a few hidden waterfalls along parts of the trail. You hear no traffic, almost no jets, just the sound of wild land around you. There is a nice campsite in a hemlock grove at the height of land, at the intersection of the Kenduskeag Trail. An easy half-day walk between the Shelburne gate (Connor Brook) and the Wild River Camp Ground in Bean's Purchase....

Success Pond
Grew up in the north woods. Fondest memories are being up at Success pond with my friends and family....

Wild River Campground
