Adams Slide Trail
 | (…) The route's a very difficult bushwhack now. ...Hey folks - the Adam's slide trail is a now defunct trail... while it can be followed, it is quite steep and overgrown. You talk about the Six Husbands Trail like it was a walk in the park. It is one of the more difficult trails in the Presidentials. Star Lake is at 4300+ feet, requiring a strenuos climb. Weather in the Presidentials is changeable and extreme - people die in snowstorms in the summer up there. Not good to publish such misleading info...... |

Cedar Pond
 | 12 miles away I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are.... |
