     The beauty of Anderson Reservoir attracts many people from all around. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Very striking scenery and great skiing is what you get at Wildcat, and if you came to camp White Birches Mountain Camping Park is a brilliant place to do that. From a rainfall point of view Anderson Reservoir is a quite typical place; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.  
   Summertime highs at Anderson Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Anderson Reservoir plunge into the 0's.
The Austin Brook Trail offers hiking at its best; let's not forget Bean Brook which is a stream that you may run into while here. Skiing at Black Mountain is one of those things you just must do.
 
               Camping at Timberland Camping Area is always a tremendous experience, and paddling on Peabody River is so much fun.
Anderson Reservoir is located in the White Mountains. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the White Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Berlin Reservoir is near Anderson Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay A Top Notch Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Androscoggin River, and dry warm beds await you at Royalty Inn.
This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Sinclair Trail, and you can take a little trip to Anderson Dam if you're here at Anderson Reservoir. So much entertaining stuff to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Anderson Reservoir; Peabody Brook Trail is a tremendous local trail, and naturally, this is a tremendous vicinity for people who like lakes, Androscoggin River Reservoir is a lake in the neighborhood.

Shelburne Trail
Beautiful trail, mostly easy grades. Lots of running water and a few hidden waterfalls along parts of the trail. You hear no traffic, almost no jets, just the sound of wild land around you. There is a nice campsite in a hemlock grove at the height of land, at the intersection of the Kenduskeag Trail. An easy half-day walk between the Shelburne gate (Connor Brook) and the Wild River Camp Ground in Bean's Purchase....

I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are....
