You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Attitash Bear Peak; paddling on Ammonoosuc River is so much fun. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Yeah, come up here to the White Mountains for a good time. Going for a hike on the Wiley Range Trail is always a good adventure, and after a long day outdoors The Mount Washington Hotel & Resort is a perfect location       to spend a night or two. This spot is great, just look at all the amusing stuff to do near Ammonoosuc Lake. At Ammonoosuc Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's while Ammonoosuc Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. So many entertaining things to do at Ammonoosuc Lake, so little time. A glorious nearby                  hotel is Mount Washington Hotel, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bretton Woods while you're here. Be careful coming to the White Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Dry River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by; Ammonoosuc Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Tarry-ho-cottages is a tremendous place to camp nearby. The annual precipitation here at Ammonoosuc Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. Nearby lakes? Sure, Saco Lake is close to Ammonoosuc Lake; Dry River Campground is a good local campground. From Ammonoosuc Lake you obtain a nice view of Mount Avalon, and you're probably into lakes, Ethan Pond is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. A cool spot to have a look at right next door to Ammonoosuc Lake is Elephant Head, and nearby you locate the Avalon Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail.
