     Akers Pond is a nice lake to visit. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Akers Pond Dam, and dry warm beds await you at A Top Notch Inn. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day at Akers Pond you can take a hike along the Speck Pond Trail. Akers Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the White Mountains. While you're here at Akers Pond you can take a hike along the Old Magalloway Trail;
 
   some of the water close by flows, like Clear Stream. Just can't get enough of Akers Pond. Looking for something near Akers Pond? Greenough Pond is close at hand, and camping is available at Mollidgewock Campground. High temperatures at Akers Pond throughout the months of summer are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows at Akers Pond through  
               the wintertime frequently dip into the-10's.
All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the White Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. You could also go to Round Pond Lake since you're here at Akers Pond; it's nearby; if you came for an overnight stay Log Haven Campground is a fine spot to camp. All the water falling down from the sky makes Akers Pond a wet place; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. If you need a place to stay Royalty Inn is a great choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Balsams Wilderness is a delightful place to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. Very beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you get at Sunday River, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Androscoggin River.

I spent most of my summers growing up at cedar pond.We had our camp there and I remember the penny candy at the red and white striped store and the dog inky. There was also a dog named cedar that would visit all the camps in search of food. The lake would be freezing even in August and when we had to start a fire in the furnace the only wood we had to burn was obviously cedar and the smell was wonderful. And though the ''camp'' my Pepere had is no longer there, the wonderful memories are....
