Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Wild Goose Pond; if you need a spot to stay Wolfeboro Inn is a good choice. At Adams Pond you can see Richardson Hill; dry warm beds await you at Loudon Red Roof Inn. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Adams Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Laconia; whitewater paddling is glorious on Suncook River. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Adams

| | Pond. There's so much to do here at Adams Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sun River Campground is a fine spot for that. Abenaki is a very popular ski area close by, and do take a hike on the Campground Trail. Not far from Adams Pond, you'll find Jenness Pond which is a picturesque lake, and paddling on Little Suncook is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. came to camp Hillcrest Campground and Cabins is a nice location to do that. If you're here at Adams Pond, you could pop by Shinglemill Brook, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Catamount Trail. From a precipitation
point of view Adams Pond is a quite typical site; November is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Adams Pond. A golf course
near Adams Pond is Nippo Lake Golf Club, and hiking along the Broken Boulder Smith Pond Trail is nice fun. Through the warm days of summer at Adams Pond highs are mostly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer
temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Adams Pond plunge into the 0's.

 | Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot we get near the water is by far the best! Country store is close and, for those who are interested, I can even use my cell phone (only if necessary, of course)without getting cut off! Thumbs up to Sun River Camp Ground!!! ... |
