Near Whitney Reservoir you come across the White River Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; a quick trip to Little Cottonwood Creek is undeniably a pleasant idea. There are great sites to explore along the Roberts Trail, and Toadstool Campground is a great campground here. You could also pop by Whitney Lake while you're here at Whitney Reservoir; it's nearby, and camping at Whitney Reservoir is wonderful fun, Roberts       Trailhead Campground is a wonderful local campground. During the days of summer at Whitney Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Whitney Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Rock Butte Loop is always a brilliant adventure, and a golf course close by is Legend Buttes Golf Course. At                  Whitney Reservoir you don’t see much rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Whitney Reservoir has it all.
