Don't leave Whitney Reservoir without first going for a hike along the White River Trail, and if you came to camp Toadstool Campground is a great location to do that. Good hiking is available along the Rock Butte Loop, and if you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Legend Buttes Golf Course. After a long day outdoors Best Western West Hills Inn is a       pleasant spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Whitney Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Roberts Trailhead Campground is a great location for that. Whitney Reservoir gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls all through May, and January is the month with the least moisture. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Whitney Reservoir reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For                  the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's with temperatures at Whitney Reservoir dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Whitney Reservoir; Roberts Trail is a good local trail; don't forget to take a fine little visit to Little Cottonwood Creek.
