While you're here at Wehrspann Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Omaha-Council Bluffs, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop at Papillion Creek Reservoir D-38. This lake is so wonderful. Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is a very delightful place to check out close to Wehrspann Lake, and if you came to camp Gretna Koa Kampground is a good site to do that. Summertime       highs at Wehrspann Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's; the nighttime is rather chillier of course, usually in the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Wehrspann Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. From a rainfall point of view Wehrspann Lake is a reasonably normal place; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. Good hiking                  is available along the E T Mahoney Trails, and you'll find a striking lake called Zorinsky Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wehrspann Lake; Desoto Bend Trail is a delightful local trail. There's so much to do here at Wehrspann Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Walnut Creek Lake and Recreation Area is a fine location for that. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Omaha is a great choice, and Courtyard Omaha LaVista is a fine place to get some rest. And if that's not sufficient, there's lots more to do near Wehrspann Lake.
