Throughout the summer months highs here at Stratbucker Reservoir get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Stratbucker Reservoir. There's some flowing water close by, Moores Creek is a stream you can stop at while here, and if time allows, Lewis & Clark National Historic       Trail is a national park worth checking out. Going for a hike along the Desoto Bend Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; if you came to camp NP Dodge Park Campground is a good place to do that. If the weather is good here at Stratbucker Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Boyer Chute Trails, and a stunning lake like Nelson Reservoir is a wonderful site to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Stratbucker Reservoir                  you'll meet some folks from Omaha-Council Bluffs for sure; the Copper Creek Connector Trail is a great hiking trail close by. Days Inn Missouri Valley is a good location to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Stratbucker Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground is a tremendous spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. An average amount of rainfall falls at Stratbucker Reservoir; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest of the months is January. Stratbucker Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise.
