That right there is a load of exciting things already but it goes on, the Sand Hills has it all. The Lake Ogallala Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping is available at Martin Bay Campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Soehls Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Soehls       Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. It is very arid here at Soehls Lake ordinarily; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. Do set aside some time for Helmer Valley since you're here at Soehls Lake; why not camp at Caddi Shack Campground while you're here at Soehls Lake. Soehls Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sand Hills. This lake is so wonderful.
