Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is a very great site to stop at in close proximity to Snyder Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Snyder Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Wilson Island State Park is a great place for that. While you're here at Snyder Reservoir you can take a hike along the Boyer Chute Trails; Snyder Reservoir is not far at all from       Omaha-Council Bluffs. During the summer months highs here at Snyder Reservoir reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Snyder Reservoir are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Turkey Creek flows through this area; a lake nearby is Lonergan Reservoir. Just can't get enough of Snyder Reservoir. Have a great hiking adventure along the Desoto                  Bend Trail; Snyder Dam has good water scenery. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHERRY HILLS is a fine choice; if you get bored of Snyder Reservoir you could also take a look at close by Exley Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Snyder Reservoir you can take a hike along the Copper Creek Connector Trail. Snyder Reservoir is a good place of typical precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
