Sure, Jeffrey Reservoir is nearby. Ross Reservoir is pretty waterless usually; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Very good water scenery is available at Ross Dam in close proximity to Ross Reservoir; a splendid nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn And Suites       North Platte. Why not camp at Fort McPherson Campground since you're here at Ross Reservoir, and Comfort Inn North Platte is a great site to get some rest. A good place to have a look at in close proximity to Ross Reservoir is Cottonwood Canyon, and there are other sites here than Ross Reservoir, for example Gothenburg Diversion Dam Reservoir. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. If you're dropping by Ross Reservoir from North Platte, you won't                  be the only one. At Ross Reservoir through the long summer days highs are in the 80's; the night is a bit colder of course, generally in the 60's.
